Abstract: This collection is comprised of most of Bob Hope's television series and specials from 1950 to 1996. These are the shows he has hosted and produced; they do not include the Academy Awards and the numerous programs on which he has made guest appearances. Hope has had several weekly and monthly series, such as The Chevy show and The Bob Hope Buick show, and annual specials, including The Bob Hope Christmas show and The Bob Hope Christmas special. The collection includes a few outtakes. Most shows up to the late 1960s are in black and white; thenceforward, they are in color. The majority of the programs are either one or two hours long. For each program, there is a VHS viewing copy, Digital Betacam viewing copy, and a BetacamSP master.
